Here’s A Timeline Of Unarmed Black People Killed By Police Over Past Year

Back in August of 2014, in Ferguson, Missouri, an African American male, Michael Brown, was shot to death by a white police officer. This case sparked a movement that also began with another killing of a black teenager, Trayvon Martin, who was killed in 2012 by a neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman.
Michael Brown wasn't the first murder to occur since Martin's death but many African Americans have passed due to the issue we face today: police brutality

Nov. 13, 2014: Tanisha Anderson (Cleveland)

Tanish Anderson passed away after officers allegedly slammed her head on the pavement during an arrest. The investigation into the case is still going, which means no charges are being induced against the officers who were involved
Nov. 22, 2014: Tamir Rice (Cleveland)

Tamir Rice was shot and killed by officers in Cleveland, Ohio. Officers mistook his toy gun as a real weapon and proceeded in shooting 12 year old Rice. Neither officer has been charged and Rice's family have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the officers involved as well as the city of
Cleveland.
Aug. 5, 2014: John Crawford III (Dayton, Ohio)

John Crawford, a 22 year old African American male was shot and killed by a police officer in Beavercreek, Ohio while shopping at Walmart. Even though no confrontation occurred and Crawford seemed to be unarmed even though previously, he was carrying a toy gun, the officers began to shot and ultimately killing Crawford in the act. Neither of the officers were charged.
